MICHAEL SIMSON

Prior to joining Bond of London, Mike was a partner in Regent Assay, a 14-strong corporate finance boutique based in London and Birmingham. In 2001 Mike was the co-founder Buckingham Corporate Finance which was subsequently merged into Regent Assay. Mike has advised on more 50 acquisitions, disposals and fundraisings for both large corporates, owner managed businesses and high net worth entrepreneurs.

 

Prior to co-founding Buckingham in late 2001, Michael served as Finance Director and then Operations Director of Princedale Group plc, which he co-ran from April 1990 and listed on the LSE in 1993.

Together with the Princedale CEO he was responsible some corporate finance transactions. From 1996 he was responsible for Princedale’s largest subsidiary, which he turned from a loss maker into a profitable business within six months. Under his stewardship three similar businesses were acquired by Princedale. In 2001 this business was sold to Marmon Group of Chicago, a Berkshire Hathaway investment.

 

Prior to joining Princedale he was a Mergers and Acquisitions director at Deloitte Corporate Finance. Michael is a South African-trained Chartered Accountant.
